Soy wax candles have a couple of unique traits which may not be familiar to you, if you're accustomed to candles made with the more traditional paraffin wax or paraffin wax blends
- Frosting: If you notice your Haute Wax Candle has a frosty appearance on top, you can be assured that it is a 100% soy wax candle. Only soy "frosts" due to the chemical structure of the veggie wax and it's reaction to heat. This is perfectly normal.
- Memory: Soy wax has a memory, so it's important that the first time you burn your Haute Wax candle that you allow it to form a complete melt pool across the entire top. If you don't allow it to do this, the next time you burn the candle it will not burn any further out to the sides than the last time you burnt it. This doesn't harm the candle, but will reduce the burn time you're able to achieve with your candle. Typically, figure that each inch of width of the top of the candle equals one hour of burn time. So a 3" wide candle will take approximately 3 hours to create a full melt pool.

Why Haute Wax Candles?
Haute Wax Candles use only soy and veggie based wax blends, high quality fragrance and essential oils and 100% cotton wicks. I chose to use these products to protect our own home environment and feel that it's important to not release any harmful oils or heavy metals into our home through the use of petroleum based paraffin wax or zinc-cored wicks.
Each of my candles is hand-poured, hand-labeled and hand-packaged. I take great pride in producing a high quality candle with only the highest quality materials.
